Jibbly for Delivery Services ("Jibbly," "we," "us," "our") is a company based in the Arab Republic of Egypt that operates the Jibbly instant delivery platform, including the mobile application and website (jibblyeg.com). We connect users with their favorite local shops and deliver their orders in minutes. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use our platform:
- Account Information: Mobile number, full name, and password when you register and create your account. We use these for secure OTP and password-based authentication.
- Location Data: Your real-time location and saved addresses (street, building, floor, apartment, area, coordinates) to facilitate delivery. For drivers, we collect precise location data in the background (even when the app is closed or not in use) to track active deliveries and provide live updates to customers.
- Order Data: Order history, favorite products, favorite shops, and order ratings.
- Wallet & Transaction Data: Wallet balance, transaction history, Prime subscription status, and user tier/points.
- Device Data: Push notification tokens and device information for sending notifications and improving the service.
- Network & Security Data: We process IP addresses and device identifiers to prevent DDoS attacks, bot activity, and to enforce rate limiting for the security of our users.
- Camera & Photo Library: When you upload photos (e.g., driver identity verification) with your permission.
- Crash & Error Data: Automatic crash reports via Sentry to improve app stability, including device information and screenshots at the time of an error.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Order Fulfillment: Processing your orders and coordinating delivery between you, partner shops, and drivers.
- Account Management: Creating and maintaining your account, including OTP and Password authentication.
- Location Services: Determining your location to show nearby shops, calculate delivery fees, and track orders.
- Wallet & Payments: Managing your wallet balance and processing transactions.
- Notifications: Sending order updates, promotional offers, and service notifications.
- Customer Support: Helping you resolve issues and responding to your inquiries.
- Service Improvement: Analyzing crash data and usage patterns to improve app performance and stability.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our platform. These services may access your data according to their own privacy policies:
- Supabase: Database and authentication service that securely stores your account data and manages login.
- Upstash: Managed Redis service used for real-time security, rate limiting, and protecting our platform from abuse.
- Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API): Used to send secure One-Time Passwords (OTP) for account verification.
- Google Maps API: Mapping and location services for displaying maps and calculating delivery routes.
- Sentry: Error monitoring and crash reporting to improve app stability.
- Expo Notifications: Notification service for sending order updates and alerts.
5. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data. We only share your data in the following cases:
- Partner Shops: We share your order details and delivery address with the shop to prepare your order.
- Drivers: We share your delivery address and phone number with the driver assigned to deliver your order.
- Service Providers: We share data with technical service providers (listed above) to operate the platform.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data if required by law or court order.
6. Data Storage, Security & Retention
Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Upon account deletion, your personal data (name, phone number, email, photos, and saved addresses) is permanently removed. Order history and transaction records may be retained for legal and financial compliance purposes but are anonymized and de-linked from your identity.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Correction: You can update or correct your data through your account settings in the app.
- Right to Deletion: You can delete your account through the "Delete Account" option in the Profile settings of the app. This will permanently remove your personal data (name, phone number, saved addresses, and profile photo). Order and transaction history may be retained in anonymized form for legal and financial compliance. Alternatively, if you have already uninstalled the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at jibblyeg@gmail.com
- Right to Object: You can object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under the legal age, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
